Honor is known for making several devices that turn out to be a great bang for your buck product. That’s exactly what they will be doing again with the new Honor 8, which has been made with US carrier markets in mind — don’t worry it will still work for our international readers.
The Honor 8 is an evolution of all the previous devices that Honor has released, taking design cues and features from them all to create a powerful device that anyone can use and love. It brings with it a similar metallic design from other Honor models and an improved 12MP, dual-lens, camera as well.
As far as specs goes, the major ones as are as follows: 5.2” FHD LPTS display, Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950, 4GB RAM, Up to 64Gb with microSD support up to 128GB, Dual 12MP (monochrome + color) rear camera, 8MP front camera, 4000mAh battery, all encapsulated in a double-sided glass design in either Sapphire Blue, Pearl White, or Midnight Black.
Also the fingerprint sensor on the back doubles as a smart app security lock. It can unlock certain features in apps, take pictures, turn off alarms and more just by pressing with your finger or sliding.
All in all this should be a great upgrade to anyone who’s had a previous Honor. The Honor 8 will retail for $399 for the standard 32Gb model and $449 for the 64Gb model. Pre-ordering starts August 17th on Amazon, Bestbuy, B&H PhotoVideo, and Newegg, with said retailers also rewarding pre-order customer with a $50 gift card as well..
