Samsung was well known for their inclusion of the microSD card slot up until last year when they announced the Samsung Galaxy S6. Well, you’ll be happy to know that in their latest flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, they have re-included a microSD card slot in the sim tray. When the S6 was announced last year many people weren’t too happy about them neglecting the microSD slot, so Samsung must have listened to their customer feedback and made it fit in a premium design.

The microSD slot in the S7 series supports up to 200 GB of storage and the phones will ship with 32 GB of on-board storage. In my opinion this is a great move on Samsung, as a Galaxy S6 owner myself, I would have opted for this feature if it was available last year. Samsung listened to their customers and gave us what we wanted. Since there is a Micro-SD slot included it will also please their customers for price, they won’t have to pay huge sums of money for extra storage.

What do you think about this move? Was it a good move to bring back the Micro-SD slot? In my opinion yes it was. Also, stay tuned for more MWC ’16 coverage!
