If you’re a student, it’s that time of year again. The time when the dreadful “back to school” ads start appearing. I don’t know about you, but for me, seeing those ads are just depressing. I wanted to cry when I saw that Amazon already has these ads going. Instead of thinking about school starting up in a few weeks, I’d like to focus on how you can use tech to make the most out of the end of summer!
Bluetooth Speakers
Relaxing by or in the pool is one thing, but relaxing by or in the pool with music is another thing. There are plenty of great Bluetooth speakers out there, but my speake
r of choice is the Anker SoundCore Sport XL. It’s waterproof, sports a large 15 hour battery, sounds great, and can take a beating. To compliment your speaker, you might want to consider a music streaming subscription, such as Spotify or YouTube Red.

I talk about this frequently, so I won’t spend too much time on it, but it’s important to make sure you kee
p your phone charged. My external battery of choice is still the Anker PowerCore+ 10050. It’s got a nice, metal build, and it features Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities.

Nothing says summer like a day on the lake, or perhaps a day at the beach! What happens if you’re on the lake and your phone falls out of your pocket? You’re doomed! Not anymore. Headphones
Bluetooth speakers are great for listening to music at parties and other public gatherings, but what if you want to unwind with a private listening session? You’ll want some headphones. The
re are plenty of great options, but one of my favorites is the Audio Technica ATH-M50x.
Capture The Fun!
Going on a trip? Maybe you’re going white water rafting. Regardless of the activity, the GoPro camera will always bring some extra fun to what ever you do! I always take mine with me when I go white water rafting, and the footage is awesome. If you’re on a budget, the HERO Session will do the cut. If you can afford it, the HERO4 Silver is my GoPro of choice.
Keep Calm And Hammock On!
While this isn’t a tech product, I felt that it needed to be featured. All of the items above will go perfect with a hammock. As long as you have some trees to attach it to, a hammock is a great way to relax to some music or YouTube. My personal hammock of choice is the Fox Outfitters Neolite Trek hammock. It’s comfortable and durable, but only suited for one person. It’s also on the smaller side. If you’re looking for something bigger, check out the Neolite Double hammock. While pricey, if you want the absolute best hammock on the market, you’ve gotta get the ENO DoubleNest hammock. It’s very spacious, and it has perfect 5 star reviews on Amazon.
