Amidst all the talk about Virtual Reality (VR) becoming prominent in the future, I had the chance to experience the Vive VR headset from HTC recently and my impressions have been nothing but positive. Having previously tried the Samsung Gear VR headset and the Google Cardboard headset, I was surprised to know how much more comfortable the Vive was in comparison.

In addition to the headset, the two remote controls serve to enhance the package further. They can become anything ranging from a weapon, shield, or even a drawing tool depending on what you’re doing with the VR headset.

In the time I spent using the headset, I got to try out a series of demo’s that were well crafted for the headset and utilized the headset’s features to their full potential and you can learn more about them in the video below:

There is definitely a lot of potential for virtual reality in the future and I am excited to see how HTC and others can improve on this initial development. Personally, I’d like to see prices for such VR headsets to come down but I want to know what you think. Would you adopt a VR headset of this caliber now or are you willing to wait a couple of years when prices inevitably fall? Let us know in the comments section down below!
