Recently, Sony released a new camera and along with it, two new lenses that can be a great addition to your sony equipment. These new lenses are the FE 70-300mm lens and FE 50mm prime lens. As for the camera, it is the new Sony RX10 III that comes at $1,500 but unfortunately is not the main attention of this article…
The new 70-300mm lens comes in with a aperture of f/4.5 and all the way up to f/5.6. This lens is a zoom lens and it features a state-of-the-art optical design, including four aspherical glass elements, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements, and Sony’s Nano AR coating. It also features a Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization and a new dust and moisture resistant design. This new FE 70-300mm F4.5 – 5.6 G OSS telephoto zoom lens will be available in May for about $1,200 US and $1,700 CA.
The next new lens is the 50mm prime lens which has a aperture of f/1.8 that should be able to get you some detailed close up shot’s. It’s aperture of f/1.8 should also be able to produce some nice bokeh. This is a pretty light and compact lens that comes in at only 7 oz (192 g) . Overall this lens can deliver some great high quality footage and only cost about $250 US and $350 CA — it will also be released in May.
