The OnePlus One was a legendary phone of 2014, just like the Nexus 5 was of 2013. I never owned the One, but some of my friends did and they said that it’s an amazing phone. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, the Snapdragon 801, Adreno 330 GPU, and 3 GB of LP-DDR3 RAM. It was a phone that was built for a very large audience because of its affordable price, but didn’t quite achieve that due to  the frustrating invite system.

Nonetheless, it sold many units and made OnePlus the brand we know today. To make the experience of owning the One even more sweeter, OnePlus has confirmed that Cyanogen OS 13 (Marshmallow) will roll out to the OnePlus One via an OTA very soon. An administrator name Helen talked about this announcement on the OnePlus Forums as well:

Hello you awesome people,

Our friends over at Cyanogen have informed us that CM 13.0 (ZNH0EAS26M) based on Marshmallow will drop starting tomorrow. The rollout will be staged so only some of you (random) will get it at first, and as always, patience is appreciated.

What’s in this release? You can find all the good stuff right here: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/cm-13-0-release-1.

Let us (and them) know what you think.

Users are claiming that they’ve already started to receive the Marshmallow update! The One owners will probably be seeing the update notification on their phone within the upcoming weeks. Let us know if any of you guys have actually received the update in the comment section. Also, be sure to share your experience with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in general.
